TORONTO, June 23, 2020 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) has launched an executive search process for a new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the decision by current CEO Kevin Marshman to retire in March 2021.
The TCHC Board has retained Amrop Knightsbridge (executive search division of LHH Knightsbridge) to work with the Board's search committee.
Board Vice Chair Brian Smith will chair the search committee, whose members include Board Chair Tim Murphy, Deputy Mayor Ana Bailão, Councillor Paula Fletcher, Tenant Director Ubah Farah and Citizen Directors Debbie Douglas and Adele Imrie.
Kevin Marshman will continue to serve as President and CEO, and work with the TCHC Executive Leadership Team to implement the company's strategic priorities. Marshman was appointed as President and CEO in April 2019. He had previously served on the TCHC Board as a Director, Vice Chair and Chair, and as TCHC's interim CEO in 2017.
QUOTES
"I thank Kevin Marshman for his leadership in positioning TCHC for success through a relentless focus on improving service delivery and business performance to meet the needs of tenants. Kevin's accomplishments include a restructuring plan for a new service delivery model, securing stable funding for building capital repairs, modernizing the company's information technology and business processes, and instilling a culture focused on better tenant service and greater accountability."
"We are confident that the board search committee will find a successful candidate with the skills, experience, diversity and personal characteristics to lead the corporation forward to address its emerging priorities. We look forward to communicating the results once the Board has selected and appointed the successful candidate."
