- New concept branch featuring TD Canada Trust takes comfortable banking to a new level.
TORONTO, June 4 /CNW/ - Read the paper, relax in the lounge, enjoy a coffee, let your children play in the kids' area - banking really can be this comfortable. TD Canada Trust announces the opening of its third "new concept" branch in Canada. Located at Yonge St and Imperial St. in Toronto, the new location is an innovative approach to branch banking. The 5,600 square foot branch, two times larger than the branch it replaced across the street, includes an open concept design with a lounge and kids' area, high tech digital displays and other special features to enhance the banking experience.
"This is the future of retail banking - we've received very positive feedback from our customers about the new concept branches we recently opened in Brampton and Windsor and we think they'll love it in Toronto too," says John-David Di Rezze, Branch Manager, TD Canada Trust. "Our new open concept space provides a welcoming and approachable atmosphere that tells customers as soon as they enter that this place is all about them."
Features of the new branch include: - An open concept design that helps TD serve customers better by moving financial specialists out from behind desks and right into the presence of customers. - A Community Boardroom designed for use by groups of customers including families, businesses and not-for-profit groups. This room is available free-of-charge and includes business services such as video conferencing capabilities, a printer and a fax machine. - A Community Wall shares a pictorial story about the local area. The current display features projects funded by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and includes space for community groups to post flyers about upcoming events - A Kids' Area equipped with books and computers that provide access to safe and fun children's websites such as TVO Kids and CBC Kids - Digital Displays mounted throughout the branch to provide customers with current information about TD products and services - A Customer Lounge with a coffee station lets customers wait in comfort if they arrive early for an appointment or are waiting for their friends or family to complete their banking - Web Kiosks welcome customers to surf the web and check their accounts on EasyWeb - A Coin Counter is available for anyone to bring unwrapped mixed coins to sort and exchange for bills or to deposit into their account free of charge (this is a very popular item for younger customers!) - A Secure Shredder in the lounge can be used to shred any old or confidential documents
"Whether customers are here for everyday banking, to meet with an advisor or inquire about a loan or mortgage, this branch is all about providing what our customers need and creating the exceptional experience they can always expect from TD," adds Di Rezze.
The new branch is wheelchair accessible and features two full-service Green Machine ABMs which are available 24 hours per day. In addition, the new location offers a full array of personal and small business products and services as well as a Financial Advisor and three Financial Services Representatives.
As part of TD Canada Trust's extended hours, branch hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Wednesday; 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
