TD Canada Trust opens "branch of the future" in Windsor - the second of its
kind in Canada
- New concept banking centre features TD Waterhouse, Investment Advice Private Client Services and Trust and Business Banking under one roof.

WINDSOR, ON, April 29 /CNW/ - Branch banking is not what it used to be - just ask TD Customers in downtown Windsor. Today, TD Canada Trust announced the grand opening of its unique "new concept" branch at 156 Ouellette Avenue in Windsor. Bringing an innovative approach to branch banking, the new 10,000 square foot branch - only the second one of its kind in Canada - includes an open concept design with a lounge and beverage station, high tech digital displays and other special features to enhance and simplify the banking experience.
"Having TD Canada Trust personal and business banking, along with TD Waterhouse Private Client Services under one roof in this new 10,000 square foot branch gives us the opportunity to serve customers in a completely new way - especially with the many innovative features available to us," said Derrick Cresswell-Clough, District Vice President, TD Canada Trust. "For instance, customers can come in and relax in our lounge area if they are early for an appointment, and our web kiosks are available to surf the web and take care of any online banking. Our customers have access to solutions for all their banking needs in a welcoming and professional atmosphere."
Features include: - A Community Wall which displays a pictorial story about the local area. - Digital Displays mounted throughout the branch to provide customers with information about TD - who we are, what we offer, and what we really care about. - Web Kiosks allow customers to surf the web and check their accounts on EasyWeb. - A Coin Counter is available for customers so they can bring unwrapped mixed coins to sort and exchange for bills or deposit into their account free of charge. - A Secure Shredder in the branch can be used to shred any old/confidential documents
"Whether you are here for everyday banking, to meet with an advisor or inquire about a loan or mortgage, this branch is all about providing what our customers need and about creating an exceptional experience they can always expect from TD," adds Cresswell-Clough.
At 3:00 p.m. today, Derrick Cresswell-Clough, District Vice President, TD Canada Trust, Windsor and Marie Pronovost, Branch Manager, TD Canada Trust were joined by Eddie Francis, Mayor of Windsor, to celebrate the grand opening with an official ribbon cutting and cheque presentation.
As part of TD's ongoing commitment to the community, grand-opening festivities also included a $75,000 donation to the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation, which will go towards supporting healthcare education, particularly for frontline caregivers who work everyday helping patients. TD Grants in Medical Excellence is an innovative education program that will provide a number of annual grants for practicing nurses or patient caregivers to advance their skills and knowledge within the field of healthcare.

Situated in downtown Windsor, the new branch is wheelchair accessible and features four full-service Green Machine ABMs which are available 24 hours per day. In addition, the new location offers a full array of personal and small business products and services as well as a Financial Advisor and five Financial Services Representatives.
As part of TD Canada Trust's extended hours, branch hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Wednesday; 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Thursday and Friday and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday.
