Teachers to Explore Gifted Learning
HALIFAX, May 22, 2012 /CNW/ - The Nova Scotia Teachers Union, the Department of Education and the Nova Scotia Educational Leadership Consortium will open the first-ever Nova Scotia Summit on Gifted Education and Talent Development at Mount Saint Vincent University Wednesday May 23.
The program focuses on the skills and knowledge needed to foster a culture of diverse and inclusive learning in schools. During the three day summit there will be large group sessions, small group breakout workshops and highly respected internationally known keynote speakers. Special focus will be on The Schoolwide Enrichment Model from the new provincial guide: Gifted Education and Talent Development.
