Tech Company dubdub Wins French Founders' Semi-Final Start Up Tour, only Canadian Company in the Finals
TORONTO, June 29, 2017 /CNW/ - Canadian video tech startup, dubdub, wins the 2017 French Founders semi-finals Start Up Tour in Montreal; making it the only Canadian startup to move on to the North American finals taking place in New York in September.
dubdub, founded by acclaimed francophone technology lawyer Fred Dionne in Montreal, was one of six innovative Canadian start-ups chosen to present out of the more than 200 Canadians companies that applied. The platform has two proprietary solutions, dubsuite and dubcandy, which fulfill the need in the market for authentic content creation and shoppable video technology while allowing brands and creators to work together and have direct and measureable ROI.
"As a Canadian company it is very important for us to represent both national languages. The French Founders community is one that we highly respect and having the opportunity to go into the French-speaking world and help francophones to join our eco-system as content creators is a priority for us," said Hugo Thibault, Senior Director of Marketing.
The North American Finals, taking place this September in New York, will bring together startup semi-finalist winners from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Boston, Chicago and Montreal. The event is expected to be attended by Former President of France, Emmanuel Macron among other French executives. The goal is to allow French startups the opportunity to present their projects, and launch or further develop in North American market.
