Technoparc Montréal in Cannes to present the Largest Eco-Innovation Zone in
Canada
MONTREAL, March 11 /CNW Telbec/ - Mario Monette, President and Chief Executive Officer of Technoparc Montréal, will be in Cannes next week for MIPIM, the world's premier real estate summit, to raise investors' interest in the International Eco-Innovation Zone, the third development phase of Technoparc Montréal's Saint-Laurent Campus.
This 20-hectare area, the largest of its kind in Canada, welcomes businesses conducting R&D in the clean technology, climate change, renewable energy, and environment industries.
Set amid natural wooded surroundings, the development of the Zone reflects sustainable development principles. Eight buildings with a total surface area of 70,000 m2 will occupy the Zone, integrating the latest materials, local resources such as wood and aluminum, and new green technologies. A network of footpaths and streams will connect the buildings. A true technological showcase, the Zone will serve to demonstrate innovative products, green technologies and the transfer of knowledge.
