Technoparc Montréal proudly welcomes ABB, another major international tech company to establish headquarters at its Saint-Laurent Campus this year Français
MONTREAL, Oct. 14, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - This morning, Technoparc Montréal was pleased to attend the groundbreaking ceremony marking the future Canadian headquarters of ABB, a world leader in power and automation technologies. Roger Plamondon, Senior Vice-President of Real Estate Development and Acquisitions at Broccolini, Alan DeSousa, Mayor of the Borough of Saint-Laurent, and Nathalie Pilon, President and Chief Executive Officer at ABB Canada, were also on hand. This wide-scale project will take up 300,000 square feet on TM's Saint-Laurent Campus and will be built following rigorous environmental standards, aiming at a LEED SILVER certification, in keeping with the green vision promoted by Technoparc Montréal, whose own headquarters is LEED SILVER-certified.

In addition to ABB, several other major players that have opened offices at Technoparc Montréal's Saint-Laurent Campus since the start of 2015: TM saw the official opening of the Broccolini Corporate Centre Saint-Laurent 2, where Hospira took up residence, the start of construction on Green Cross Biotherapeutics, Greater Montreal's largest industrial project ($275 million) and the start of construction on the future Videotron data centre ($40 million for Phase 1).

Technoparc Montréal's global appeal and ability to bring world-calibre businesses to Montreal can be explained by its exceptional natural site and its in-depth real estate development expertise. "Our partnership with Broccolini, a leader in the construction and real estate service sectors, has been a big asset for us in recent years. Their contribution to Technoparc Montréal's effervescence has been huge," remarked Monette, who indicated that Broccolini would oversee the construction of ABB's new campus.
