Ted Ohashi of Ticker Talk Interviews Destiny CEO Steve Vestergaard
New Video Format Eliminates Traditional Transcoding and CDN Infrastructure and Streams Everywhere Without a Player
VANCOUVER, June 15, 2012 /CNW/ - Destiny Media Technologies (TSXV: DSY) (OTCQX: DSNY) is pleased to announce an interview with Destiny CEO, Steve Vestergaard by Ted Ohashi of Ticker Talk.
Streaming video is growing at 48% per year and is responsible for more than half of all web traffic and as it grows, it is running up against infrastructure limits to reaching large numbers of viewers. Destiny has created a solution that reaches at least ten times more viewers with the same servers and bandwidth, saving the publishers money, but also reducing loads on backbone infrastructure. Destiny's solution reaches Mac's, PC's, iPhones, Androids, Blackberries, iPad's, tablets, e-readers, internet enabled TV's and other devices from a single video source. Consumers can view without installing third party software.
To be cross platform, other solutions require expensive infrastructure including content distribution networks and multiple video formats and streaming servers as until today there has been no standard cross platform video format.
Seven patents are being filed to protect this innovative technology.
