TEDxStanleyPark Returns to Downtown Vancouver
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 17, 2017 /CNW/ -- TEDxStanleyPark is proud to announce that it will be returning to Vancouver in 2017. This time around the diverse multi-speaker variety show will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 10 AM–6 PM, and will once again be held at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in downtown Vancouver. The theme of this year's event is Inspiring Brave Actions.
TEDxStanleyPark is one of the world's largest TED conferences. High-impact talks address a wide range of humanity's tough challenges and offer practical and optimistic solutions. This year TEDxStanleyPark brings attendees presentations from dynamic speakers from all walks of life. From political figures and a restauranteur to entrepreneurs, a television producer and authors, sharing an array of topics including:
- Elizabeth May-Make Every Vote Count
- Vikram Vij-A Toxic Pairing
- Bill Stainton-Crack Your Cocoon
- Tamer Mohamed-Bio Printing Human Tissues
- Mike Shaw-Grief Happens
- Ashley Zahabian-Ready, Set, Stuck
- Melissa Haynes-Playing with a Lion's Testicles
The theme of Inspiring Brave Actions is born from the belief that all human achievement has 3 sources: the dreams that we dream, the choices that we make, and the actions that we take. And the most impactful of these is the actions we take. TEDxStanleyPark's Inspiring Brave Actions theme curates their selection of talks to those with powerful calls to action that give legs to dreams of what could be. Because of the intense level of speaker training last year's event received 15 standing ovations.
These talks inspire, stimulate and activate thoughtful optimists with open minds and big hearts to move the needle toward a better world. Early bird ticket(s) for TEDxStanleyPark are now available and early ticket buyers will receive 5 fun bonuses worth $265 for each ticket that's purchased. Ticket prices for this year's event range from $77 to $127(CAD).
