Telehop Communications announces appointment of New Director

TORONTO , Nov. 11 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of Telehop Communications Inc. ("Telehop" or the "Company") announced today that Mr. Derek van der Plaat has been appointed as an independent director of Telehop, subject to regulatory approval.

Derek van der Plaat's appointed to the board of directors fills a vacancy left by Hersh Spiegelman as a result of his untimely death on October 29th .

Mr. van der Plaat has significant business, banking and governance experience. He is a co-founder of Puretracks Inc., a leading Canadian Internet radio and digital music solution provider. Derek presently leads DVP Capital Management Inc., a private investment and advisory firm. Derek holds an MBA from Concordia University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

With the appointment of Mr. van der Plaat, the current board consists of three directors.
