The centennial episode premieres Wednesday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT
TORONTO, Oct. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - The multi Gemini award-winningTELETOON series Johnny Test marks a significant milestone on Wednesday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT with the Canadian premiere of its 100th episode on TELETOON's English- and French-language networks. Since its debut on the network in 2006, Johnny Test has consistently proven to be a top performer in English and French, earning its reputation as one of TELETOON's flagship shows.
"TELETOON loves Johnny and so does our audience," said Carole Bonneau, Vice-President, Programming, TELETOON Canada Inc. "Over the course of seven years, Johnny Test still boasts hit ratings in virtually every timeslot it has been scheduled in, but most of all - it is show of exceptional quality and it has helped put Canada on the map as a leader in kids animation."
"TELETOON is an ideal broadcast partner for Johnny Test and the show's extraordinary success wouldn't have been possible without their support," said Scott Fellows, Creator, Johnny Test. "I look forward to working together to create many more hair-raising adventures for Johnny, Dukey and the gang."
Recognized worldwide as a leader in the kids television and animation industries, TELETOON Canada has invested over $300 million in the creation, development and production of Canadian content since its inception in 1997. TELETOON takes great pride in the international success of its original programming like Johnny Test, a series that has been sold in over 200 countries and translated into 20 different languages including Korean, Portuguese, Chinese and Thai, among others.
Produced by DHX Media, Johnny Test is an action-comedy extravaganza that chronicles the adventures of a fearless 11-year-old boy, his genetically engineered super-dog Dukey and his 13-year-old super-genius scientist sisters Susan and Mary. Using Johnny as their guinea pig, Susan and Mary strive to solve the trials and tribulations of adolescent angst with out-of-this-world scientific experiments. In the 100th episode, Johnny has fallen into a fairy tale sleep from which he can't be woken. Susan, Mary and Dukey must work together to try and wake Johnny up before it's too late.
In the lead-up to the premiere at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesday, November 20, as part of a month-long MOREvember programming event in November, TELETOON will broadcast a marathon of hit Johnny Test episodes beginning at 3 p.m. ET/PT. In addition, episodes from season 1 of Johnny Test will air Tuesdays to Fridays at 5 p.m. ET/PT from Friday, November 1 to Friday, November 22.
