Television Top Chef, Nyesha Arrington, to Participate in Destin Charity Wine Auction Patron Dinner
DESTIN, FL, March 28, 2012 /CNW/ - Nyesha Arrington, executive chef at Wilshire, one of the most popular restaurants in Santa Monica, CA will be a "celebrity chef" for one of the Destin Charity Wine Auction Patron dinners. Chef Arrington trained with legendary French chef, Joel Robuchon at his Michelin and Mobil award-winning restaurants and with renowned California chef, Josiah Citrin, of the two star Michelin rated Mélisse. Extremely talented and a firm believer in using locally- grown and sourced ingredients, Arrington plans a five-course, French themed menu for her Patron dinner, to be held April 27th in a private home in Destin.
Arrington comes from an artistic family; both her father and her sister are musicians. As a result, Arrington brings unusual creativity and inspiration to her craft. "I am thrilled to be a part of the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation," said Arrington. "The idea of being able to create a unique dining experience for the generous patrons of the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation is a privilege for me. I look forward to offering a very memorable evening for my guests."
Arrington was recently seen on Season 9 of Bravo's "Top Chef" and on the show's "Last Chance Kitchen" Challenge.
"We warmly welcome Chef Arrington to Destin and we are extremely grateful that she will be giving both her time and talents for our Foundation," said Jane Solomon, Chairman of the Board, Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation. "We already have surpassed last year's Patron dinner participation numbers. As a result, we are looking forward to significantly increasing our distribution of funds to local children's charities."
