A television first: games in 3D
VANCOUVER, June 8 /CNW/ - TELUS is pleased to offer CBC's coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa(TM) to TELUS TV customers from June 11 - July 11 including, for the first time ever, the final two games in 3D. TELUS viewers will have the chance to catch up with games they missed or re-live their favourite FIFA World Cup(TM) moments with TELUS' offering of fifty-six games in High Definition (HD) on Video on Demand (VOD).

Viewers will be able to watch the FIFA World Cup(TM) games in a number of ways on TELUS TV:
- live on CBC in English and French, CBC HD and bold; - recorded on their Personal Video Recorder (PVR); - VOD (HD); - watch the final two games in 3D.
TELUS has launched Optik(TM) TV, powered by award-winning Microsoft(R) Mediaroom(TM), which offers never before seen functionality, features and over 450 channels, including more than 45 in HD. Optik TV features the best PVR experience with PVR Anywhere, only from TELUS. Now one PVR is all customers need to watch and record shows on any TV in their home with a digital box, record up to three shows at once, or pause a program in one room and pick it up from the same spot in another room. Optik TV also offers Picture-in-Picture browsing, onscreen Call Display, HD Video On Demand and HD Pay Per View, so customers can order movies and live events, including the FIFA World Cup(TM), from the comfort of their couch.
TELUS television services hit a notable milestone in April 2010 when the TELUS TV subscriber base surpassed 200,000 customers.
