Tenth Power Technologies Corp. announces the election of a new Chairman

TORONTO, June 16 /CNW/ - Tenth Power Technologies Corp. (TSX-V:TPI) (the "Company" or "Tenth Power") announces the election of a new Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the election of Guy Burry to the position of Chairman. Mr. Burry brings extensive knowledge and board level experience within the financial services, software development, healthcare, human capital, manufacturing, and environmentally compatible technology sectors. Guy is Managing Director of The Tenth Power Group, a Private Merchant Bank that focuses on accelerating growth in early stage companies.

Guy holds directorships with a number of other organizations: Knightsbridge Human Capital Solutions; Royal St. Georges College; The Toronto Atmospheric Fund; Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship; The Taylor Statten Camping Bursary Fund and a number of private investment corporations. He previously served as Vice Chair of Muskoka Algonquin Health Care and a Director of Toronto East General Hospital Foundation.

Guy earned his B.A. from York University, and he currently sits on the university's Board of Governors. He is Chair of the university's Pension Fund Investment Committee, a member of the Finance & Audit and Investment committees as well as a pension fund trustee. He is also Chair of the York University Alumni Association Board of Directors. Guy was in the first graduating class of the Institute of Corporate Directors Governance College at the Rotman School of Management, attaining his ICD.D designation in 2004.

With this announcement Mr. John Whincup, who has served the company as Chairman for the last 18 months, will continue as a Director of the Corporation. The board of Directors would like to thank Mr. Whincup for his determined support and direction of the company through a difficult season of revitalization and transition.
