MONT-TREMBLANT, QC, June 23, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The hype reached an all-time high at the finish line of IRONMAN® 70.3® Mont-Tremblant where Terenzo Bozzone and Linsey Corbin take the win. Magali Tisseyre, spokesperson and defending champion from the first edition came in second. As for Romain Guillaume, winner of the 2012 edition, he finishes in third place this year.
One of nearly 60 events in the global IRONMAN 70.3 Series, the Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant triathlon led athletes along a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run on a course that utilized a variety of Québec's natural beauty. The swim took place in Tremblant Lake and the one-loop bike course took athletes through Mont-Tremblant's forests and mountains. The 13.1 mile run course concluded in the city's pedestrian village. The event offered a total professional prize purse of $15,000 and 40 coveted slots to the 2013 IRONMAN World Championship 70.3, taking place on Sept. 8 at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nev.

Besides the regular participants, the event also included 54 teams of three people who completed the course as a relay. Two other IRONMAN 70.3 are held in Canada, one in Calgary (Alberta) and the other in Muskoka, Huntsville (Ontario).

The next IRONMAN rendez-vous in Mont-Tremblant
The second edition of IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant will be held on August 18, 2013.
