Additional leadership strength will drive growth and expand Kasian's capabilities
VANCOUVER, Oct. 17, 2013 /CNW/ - Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd (Kasian), announced today that Teresa Coady has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ms. Coady will complement Kasian's existing leadership team as the firm continues to expand its geographic reach and strengthen its design capabilities. Ms. Coady will assume responsibility for driving Kasian's operations alongside the senior leadership team across Canada and Internationally.

Teresa Coady joins Kasian after having served 20 years as the President and Founding Partner of Bunting Coady Architects, one of Canada's leading sustainable architectural design practices. Under Coady's leadership, by 2007, Bunting Coady Architects had more square footage of LEED®-NC Gold certified institutional and commercial projects than any other firm in North America.

A registered architect in Canada and the United States, Teresa Coady pioneered the Integrated Design Process (IDP), which was first presented by her at the Globe 1998 Conference. The IDP successfully involves the client in all aspects of design and construction, and was instrumental in the development of such landmark projects as the award-winning UBC Life Sciences Centre, UBCO School of Engineering, the NRC Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation and the Vancouver Port Authority Head Office. Ms. Coady is an active Advisory Board Member with the United Nations Environment Programme's Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative (UNEP-SBCI) and also sits on the Board of the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE).
Teresa Coady will be based in Kasian's Vancouver office.
