Terms of Reference released for Independent Advisory Group
VANCOUVER, March 15, 2016 /CNW/ - The independent advisory group tasked by the Real Estate Council of BC to review the Council's handling of licensee misconduct has released the terms of reference that will guide its examination.
"The Advisory Group understands that this is fundamentally about strengthening protection for consumers," said Chair Carolyn Rogers, Superintendent of Real Estate and the CEO of FICOM. "We're committed to maintaining a tight focus on the public interest as it relates to licensee conduct and the regulation of that conduct."

The Independent Advisory Group's mandate is to examine whether the current regulatory regime adequately protects consumers and the wider public interest from real estate licensee conduct that is inconsistent with the standards of conduct required of those licensees.
