TORONTO, Oct. 30, 2013 /CNW/ - Groupe Média TFO is pleased to be a partner of the Cinémania French Film Festival for the second year in a row. TFO will present the Audience Award, which goes to the best independent film among the seven contemporary French features in the official selection.
This year for the first time TFO will also present, in conjunction with Cinémania, a master class with actress Anouk Aimée, to be held on Saturday, November 9, at 4:45 p.m. at the Imperial Theatre. TFO will tape the class and make it available on YouTube starting at 6 p.m., Monday, November 11. It will be presented by Guilhem Caillard, the Festival's assistant programmer, and Claudia Hébert, CinéTFO producer/host. Movie buffs will therefore have exclusive access to one of the greatest actresses in French cinema, on the screen of their choice.
"Groupe Média TFO's partnership with the Cinémania Festival demonstrates its commitment to its audience of cinephiles and to French-language cinema," says Pascal Arseneau, Chief Marketing Officer, Groupe Média TFO. "We are proud of our relationship with the Cinémania Festival, which offers programming that matches the interests of CinéTFO's audience."
CinéTFO continues its engagement with French-language cinema. This year, it will broadcast an outstanding selection of classic auteur films from the archives, including a tribute to the great director Maurice Pialat which will run every Monday night at 9:00 p.m., November 4 through December 30. In all, nine of his feature films will be screened.
