The 5th Atlantic Aboriginal Entrepreneur Awards Show - Celebrating 25 Years!
- Deadline for nominations extended to July 31st
FREDERICTON, July 22 /CNW Telbec/ - Ulnooweg Development Group Inc., in partnership with St Mary's First Nation, proudly presents the 5th Atlantic Aboriginal Entrepreneur Awards Show to take place on Sept. 9, 2010, at the St. Mary's Entertainment Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Live entertainment by talented Aboriginal performers from New Brunswick and across the region will honour the deserving Aboriginal entrepreneur award recipients.
"We have so much to be proud of this year. While we are celebrating 25 years of Ulnooweg, we are also proud to see that the business climate in our region has so much promise and opportunity for Aboriginal business and entrepreneurs. We couldn't be operating in a more optimal time," said Christopher Googoo, General Manager of Ulnooweg Development Group Inc.
Chief Candice Paul & Council of the St. Mary's First Nation is proud to host this year's show. "We won the Ulnooweg band enterprise award in 2008 and we want to show our appreciation and share our success with our Atlantic brothers and sisters. This is just another grand event to be hosted at the St. Mary's Entertainment Centre! Our community is very excited and we are all looking forward to hosting this event and celebrating 25 years of Ulnooweg services helping Aboriginal entrepreneurs," said Paul.
The Atlantic Aboriginal Entrepreneur Awards Show is mandated to recognize and celebrate deserving Aboriginal entrepreneurs for their success. It is the hard work and dedication of Aboriginal entrepreneurs that helps to create outstanding reputations and a strong economic base for Aboriginal communities - while maintaining individual pride and reputation as successful entrepreneurs.
This year, Ulnooweg Development Group has received generous funding support from Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), and Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC).
Ulnooweg Development Group Inc. has partnered with two prolific Aboriginal events to coordinate a day to celebrate and grow Aboriginal business. During the day on September 9, these events will include: Aboriginal Business Dynamics - Joint Venture, Procurement and Partnerships; and the regional preliminaries of "The Big Idea" - a television show that gives Aboriginal Entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their ideas for prizes.
Tickets for the show are $75.00 and can be purchased from Ulnooweg Development Group by visiting the website or by calling (902) 893-7379, or toll free 1-888-766-2376.
The plans for the show are well underway for Ulnooweg Development Group Inc. to host another evening to celebrate Aboriginal business and entrepreneurial success in the Atlantic Region.
