GUIYANG, China, Sept. 11, 2017 /CNW/ -- The 7th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverage Expo is being held between September 9 and 12, 2017 in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province, China. With the theme of "presentation of world's fine alcoholic beverages and promotion of cooperation and communication", the Expo is a major event in the alcoholic beverage industry that showcases a variety of products from across the entire industry chain.
As China's first international platform for exchanges and collaborations between Chinese and international alcoholic beverage manufacturers following the Chinese economic reform, the Expo has been held for six years in a row and has become as one of the largest, most internationally recognized and most influential exhibitions in China. The Expo, which received the Union of international Fairs (UFI) certification in February, 2017, is the first UFI-certified international exhibition in Guizhou province and, to date, the only UFI-certified alcoholic beverages exhibition in China.
This year's Expo features a new comprehensive pavilion combining the consumption of alcoholic beverages with tourism, culture and the internet, attracting a number of world-renowned exhibitors including Walmart. In addition, 35 international trade associations that are participating in the event plan to establish collaborations with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guizhou Council.
The nearly 80,000-square-meter exhibition has attracted over 2,000 exhibitors, including Chateau Cheval Blanc, Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Margaux, among other world-renowned wineries, as well as more than 20,000 buyers from around the world, in addition to over 80 Chinese and international delegations and representatives from international trade associations.
The event is expected to generate turnover in excess of 54.5 billion yuan (approx. US$8.1 billion).
