The AFNQL Offer its Condolences to the Family of Claude Béchard
WENDAKE, QC, Sept. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - The Assembly of the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador (AFNQL) wish to offer its most sincere condolences to the family, close relations and friends of Minister Claude Béchard, who passed away yesterday after fighting a lengthy illness.
To the Chief of the AFNQL, Ghislain Picard, Claude Béchard was a passionate of politics, with an exemplary career path. He salutes the good relations based on attentiveness and respect that existed between them.
We should not forget that, in 2006, Claude Béchard acted as Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Wildlife. His contribution to the First Nations Socioeconomic Forum of Mashteuiatsh was particularly impressing, and it was appreciated by all. "The whole of Quebec just lost a political man who was devoted until the last hour to the defense of his ideas, his party as well as the interests of his constituents. Our thoughts are with him", stated Chief Picard.
