MONTREAL, Aug. 23, 2012 /CNW/ - JOIN THE ALDO GROUP ON SEPTEMBER 13TH FOR THE 6TH EDITION OF THEIR EXTREME MAKEOVER, AS THEY HELP YOUTH GROUP DESTA GET A NEW START.
This year marks the ALDO Group's 40th anniversary and the company is continuing its longstanding tradition of helping local youth foundations that need it most. For their annual Extreme Makeover activity, they return to the community of Little Burgundy (where their story began) in support of youth group DESTA.
Through various programs and services, the DESTA organization helps marginalized youth (aged 18-25) in the areas of education, health and personal development, and employment.
Already a proud supporter of DESTA through its Little Burgundy stores, the ALDO Group returns in force this year to transform DESTA's main spaces, giving their team and participants access to more inviting and inspirational environments.
In just one day, hundreds of ALDO Group team members will roll up their sleeves to paint, decorate, and furnish the DESTA space, as well as three other organizations (Passages, La Joujouthèque St-Michel and La Maison de l'Enfance), all considered pivotal in Montreal's development and care of underprivileged youth.
Helping young generations has always been at the heart of the ALDO Group's philanthropic endeavours. As part of the 40th anniversary celebration, the company strives to continue bettering the lives of underprivileged youth in hopes of creating a brighter future for all.
