The Arts Put on a Show at the Garden - A 5th Season of Intimate Concerts in a Delightful Summer Setting at the Jardin botanique Français
MONTRÉAL, May 23, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Espace pour la vie has raised the curtain on the program for the 5th edition of one of its summer headline events: The Arts Put on a Show at the Garden. The Artistic Director for this year's edition of this ever-popular event is Monique Giroux, a great fan of Francophone music and a virtuoso at spotting emerging artists. The event, to be held at the Jardin botanique at 2 p.m. every Sunday from July 1 to September 2, will showcase ten artists, most of them singer/songwriters, in a blend of musical colours and styles. This unique concept, flourishing under the inspiration of its new artistic director, throws the spotlight on artists from near and far. In their own way, they will each offer audiences an intimate version of their repertoire, stripped-down music without complex arrangements, to allow listeners to better dwell in nature through the arts.
"I can already hear the different artists who will be playing this season, with their different sounds, all of them in harmony with the garden's fabulous nature. Our guest artists' songs and tunes will bring us some welcome respite in the heart of a Montréal summer. Here's hoping it's a fine one," says Monique Giroux, Artistic Director for the 2018 The Arts Put on a Show at the Garden event.
A delightful blend of nature and the arts
Each show will offer audiences a chance to soak up nature, savour moments of musical intimacy and appreciate the very essence of the melodies, lyrics and songs. The artists will play new creations and old favourites, offering up easy listening and good feelings in a delightful natural setting.
Before or after the show: nature
Plan on an hour or two, before or after the intimate concerts, to enjoy the splendid spectacle of the peonies, irises, lilies, roses and daylilies in bloom. And stroll through the impressively authentic thematic gardens.

Chairs are allowed on the site especially for the occasion.
Shows will be cancelled in the event of extreme weather conditions.
