Deadline to submit an entry is December 15, 2018
PLANTATION, Fla., Nov. 27, 2018 /CNW/ -- The "Say Yes" in The Bahamas surprise engagement contest launched on October 12, 2018 and is well underway. The deadline for bachelors to enter this contest ends December 15, 2018.
The unique contest is a joint initiative produced by the Romance Department of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation (MOTA) in conjunction with Paparazzi Proposal, and showcases the ultimate romantic proposals offered in the destination.
The nine weeks contest is open to bachelors residing in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta only; who are in a relationship but have not yet proposed. Entrants will be required to upload on www.bahamas.com/say-yes a photo of themselves with their significant other, along with a short compelling love story stating why they should be selected to have their surprise proposal in the pristine Islands Of The Bahamas.
A panel of qualified judges will select three lucky bachelors January 2019. They will be given the opportunity of a lifetime to propose to their significant other in one of three unique island destination locations in The Bahamas. Partners include the Valentines Resort & Marina on Harbour Island, Eleuthera, and the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach All-Inclusive Resort, Freeport Grand Bahama Island.
Winning couples will be announced just in time for Christmas, and couples will be expected to travel to The Bahamas in January 2019, where they will enjoy accommodations for five days and four nights. Each couple will also receive an intimate, romantic dinner for two, compliments of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation.
According to Freda Malcolm, Director of Romance at MOTA, "The Bahamas is one of the most romantic destinations in the world. No other destination provides the plethora of romance level services, varied destinations, authentic, personalized and memorable experiences we offer, and we look forward to sharing that with our "Say Yes" winners," she said.
