The Ball of Leucan courts Harlequin and raises $250,000 for cancer-stricken
children!
MONTREAL, Nov. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - On November 3, 410 guests entered the universe of Arlequino as part of The Ball of Leucan and helped raise $250,000 for cancer-stricken children and their families. Under the patronage of Honorary President Mr. Gerry Frappier, President and Chief Executive Officer of RDS, and in association with Club Sportif MAA, this unique benefit gala filled with amazing performances made quite an impression on all the guests.
"The Ball of Leucan is definitely a unique event thanks to a truly original concept: spectacular dances and acrobatics, a touching performance by Annie Villeneuve, and even an opera number," says Mr. Frappier. "I would really like to thank everyone who contributed, in one way or another, to the evening's success and to this cause dear to my heart."
Of course, some of Leucan's children also took part in the celebration to welcome and entertain our guests. All choreographies were directed by renowned choreographer Uriel Arreguin. We would like to give a special mention to our collaborators who had the courage to step out of their comfort zone to step into a great dance and percussion number, including Olympic medalists Jean-Luc Brassard, Isabelle Charest, Nathalie Lambert, Bruny Surin, and Tania Vicent, as well as two hosts from RDS, Yanick Bouchard and Frédéric Plante, and Eduardo Sebrango, who played six seasons with the Montreal Impact.
Leucan would like to give warm thanks to all those in attendance and more particularly to the team from Club Sportif MAA and to Mr. Gerry Frappier. Our gratitude goes to Mr. Richard Legendre (Montreal Impact and Stade Saputo), to the ambassadors - Mr. Luc Bisaillon (Royal Bank of Canada); Mrs. Sylvie Bourdeau (Fasken Martineau DuMoulin); Mr. Mario Cecchini (Corus Québec); Mr. Yannick Crack (Guertin Lazure Crack); Mr. Angelo D'Amico (D'Amico Family Wealth Management Group of RBC Dominion Securities Inc.); Mr. Michel Hébert (Consultant and Director), and Mrs. Paule Labelle (Cava Rose) - to all the contributors and sponsors, to the Royal Bank of Canada, and to all the partners.
