The Beer Store invites Kanata to Celebrate its New Beer Store and Cheer on the Hometown Sens
KANATA, ON, May 13, 2013 /CNW/ - Thirsty Senators fans are in luck with a new 'The Beer Store' location opening up today at 720 Eagleson Road in Kanata, just in time for Round Two of the playoffs. Ottawa City Councillor Allan Hubley was on hand to officially open the new 6,600 square foot store, which features over 350 beer brands and reflects The Beer Store's emphasis on selection, efficient service and its role as Ontario's "cold beer headquarters."
The new Kanata store utilizes The Beer Store's highly popular self-serve format and incorporates a new empties return facility which allows customers to return their empties in a larger and more spacious empties returns room and then browse through a large shopping area full of the beer they love.
"The Beer Store is thrilled to be opening a new location in Kanata at the start of the busy summer beer season and in a middle of the Stanley Cup playoffs", said Ted Moroz President of The Beer Store. "We're sure you'll agree, there's nothing better than picking-up your favourite case of beer, turning on the TV and watching the Senators in the play-offs," added Moroz. "We encourage all Kanata beer drinkers to come check out their new Beer Store. We're confident you'll find that it will continue to provide you the wide selection of cold beer products and efficient service that you've come to expect from us."
In celebration of the NHL playoff season, The Beer Store is also pleased to offer two tickets to a Round 2 Senators playoff game to one lucky customer attending the new store opening event. Customers who attend the store opening scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday May 13th will have the opportunity to enter a draw* to win the tickets which will be drawn by Councillor Hubley at approximately 10:30 AM. Customers are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they get their chance to enter the draw to attend a raucous Senators' home playoff game.
"I congratulate The Beer Store for making this investment and for their commitment to the community of Kanata South," said Ottawa City Councillor Allan Hubley. "Not only does The Beer Store do a great job of selling beer, but their commitment to socially responsible sale and environmental stewardship are values that benefit the entire community of Kanata South," added Hubley.
On May 24th and 25th the new Kanata location will also be participating in the annual The Beer Store bottle drive to raise money in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. Last year's event raised more than $1.6 million!
