MONTRÉAL, Nov. 15, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - As of today, the access to mobile version of Club illico is now available with all new Videotron mobile plan subscriptions, a move designed to meet the growing needs of consumers who increasingly use mobile devices to access content. Keeping up with your favourite series has never been easier!
Viewing television and video content on mobile devices is a clear trend. Recent surveys show that 20% of Quebec consumers watch videos, series or movies on their smartphones.1 And the tendency is even more pronounced with younger viewers: 85% of Canadian Francophones smartphone owners aged 18 to 34 report watching streaming video on their mobile device in the last month.2
"Today our mobile devices are much more than mere communication tools," notes Bertrand Hébert, Vice President, Marketing at Videotron. "We use our phones to stay in touch, to keep up with the news, to listen to music, to shop and to be entertained. Videotron understands that mobile devices are a fantastic platform for accessing all kinds of content. This new initiative will make our customers' lives easier and meet a real need."
This campaign is also a way for Videotron, the newest player in the Quebec mobile market, to stand out from the competition.
"In an extremely competitive market like mobile, this new initiative will strengthen the innovative aspect of our mobile offering and set us apart thanks to the unique content available on Club illico, the most popular French-language subscription video-on-demand service in Québec3", added Mr. Hébert.
