The Brick's Holiday Pop-Up Experience Video Cracks 1 Million Views
EDMONTON, Dec. 16, 2016 /CNW/ - The Brick's Fort McMurray Holiday Pop-Up and Family Surprise video featuring a free Christmas tree lot and a holiday surprise for a Fort McMurray family has now been viewed over 1 million times on Facebook since being released two days ago.
The video, captured in Fort McMurray on Dec. 3, shows The Brick's Holiday Pop-Up tree lot - where hundreds of Christmas trees and wreaths were given away - and a surprise home delivery of Christmas presents to the Cruz family, who lost their home and possessions in the spring wildfires and are spending Christmas in a temporary residence. The Brick surprised them with a Gift Card that will pay for all the new furniture in their new home currently under construction.
The video has also been shared more than 6,300 times. Christmas tree recipients have taken to social media to show their decorated free trees inside their homes.
"We're overwhelmed with the response to our video and extremely pleased that we've been able put a smile on so many faces by telling this story," said Dave Freeman, President of The Brick. "We wanted to do something for our friends and neighbours in Fort McMurray this Christmas to show them their community is behind them during a very difficult time. The community has truly come together to support one another and we're happy we can be a part of that."
