TORONTO, June 7, 2017 /CNW/ - The Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Wiltshire as its interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
Wiltshire is a highly-accomplished senior executive with over 32 years experience in marketing and product development, most recently as Senior Vice President, Marketing of Investors Group. Representing the Canadian marketing profession at the highest level, he brings his strategic marketing and leadership expertise to CMA.
Wiltshire has agreed to step down from his current role as a member of the Board of Directors to lead the organization and provide continuity to the Association's long term strategic plan.
"John's appointment gives us stability and continuity to drive the strategic direction that CMA's Board has put forward and affords the opportunity to have a fulsome review of our longer-term direction. John's strong leadership and operational abilities as well as his people-first approach will help move the Association forward," says Chris Stamper, Chair of the CMA Board of Directors and Senior Vice President, Business Marketing Planning and CMO Canadian Banking, TD Bank Group. "John has a clear passion for the marketing profession and he strongly believes that marketing plays a crucial role in the growth of Canadian business and the CMA will continue to play a leadership role."

John Wiltshire officially joins the association on June 26, 2017.
