The CCA honors the memory of Paul Desmarais
MONTREAL, Oct. 9, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - With great sadness the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) has learned of the passing yesterday of Paul Desmarais, a visionary business man and patron of exceptional stature..
The CCA wishes to pay a particular warm tribute to Mr. Desmarais for his contribution and that of Power Corporation were key in establishing the institution and supporting the pursuit of its mission. At the time of the building`s inauguration, the CCA's theater was named after him in recognition of his great generosity.
"This extremely brilliant man has always shown an incomparable comprehension of international connections in business and culture for Canada, all the while enhancing significally the role of Montreal", declared Phyllis Lambert, Founding Director and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the CCA.
All directors and staff members of the CCA would like to extend their most sincere condolences to the Desmarais family and their loved ones.
