The Children's Wish Foundation and Maison Cousin Team up to Grant Heartfelt
Wishes
MONTREAL, May 6 /CNW/ - The Children's Wish Foundation and Maison Cousin announced today they are teaming up to help make wishes come true for two deserving children from Quebec. Through the new program, consumers who purchase specially marked Maison Cousin bakery products will contribute to making Gabriel and Elmira's respective wishes become a reality and help The Children's Wish Foundation fulfill its mission.
Gabriel who is six years old suffers from cirrhosis of the liver. His wish is to travel to Bahamas and experience the animals, birds, butterflies and swim the ocean. Even though he still needs a liver transplant, Gabriel keeps a bright smile on his face.
Elmira is a nine years old cancer patient whose wish is to swim with dolphins. After many months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Elmira has regained her strength and is enjoying a normal life. However she must continue to go to the hospital on a regular basis and hope that cancer does not return.
Twenty-five cents from each specially marked package of Maison Cousin's French and Belgian baguettes sold, featuring drawings by Gabriel and Elmira, will be donated to the Children's Wish Foundation. The funds will help Gabriel, Elmira and their families to get their wishes realized. Maison Cousin bakery products are available in all major food stores across Quebec.
