TORONTO, June 22, 2016 /CNW/ - The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is excited to announce that Lifetime's Dance Moms' Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler have helped spread awareness for Olivia's wish by sharing their own #DoTheLivi dance post. The two sisters each shared a video on Instagram last night to their combined 10.4 million followers. As of noon on Wednesday, the two original videos have received over 1.2 million views worldwide.
Nine-year-old Olivia, who will be celebrating her 10th birthday on Saturday, is a little girl with big dreams. Currently in remission from stage 3 Wilms' tumor, a cancer of the kidneys, Olivia is ready to have her most heartfelt wish granted - to become famous! As an avid dancer, what better way to make that happen, than to have her very own, unique dance move go viral? That's the idea behind #DoTheLivi – a global social media campaign with two simple steps. It was created for and inspired by Olivia with the help of renowned Canadian choreographer, Blake McGrath from So You Think You Can Dance Canada – Olivia, alongside McGrath, debuted the dance move last Sunday June 19 on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio MMVAs. Thank you to Bell Media for the invitation and Olivia's exciting two-day itinerary fit for a celebrity.
Children's Wish is asking people to 'do the Livi', share it on social media, and donate, to help us to continue granting wishes for Canadian children diagnosed with a life-threatening illness like Olivia. Children's Wish received an overwhelming increase in followers of over 400% on our Instagram page overnight, due to the viral posts thus far.
Olivia's mom, Jennifer is excited to witness her daughter's wish come true. "Dance has been a great builder of confidence for Olivia. It has allowed her to feel comfortable in her skin, scars and all."

About The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada:
The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is the largest all Canadian wish granting charity dedicated to granting wishes to Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 who are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For more than 30 years, Children's Wish has worked tirelessly to grant heartfelt wishes to nearly 25,000 children and their families.
This year, Children's Wish is enjoying the largest wish granting year yet, and expects to grant nearly 1,500 new wishes across the country with the help of volunteers and generous donors; that is approximately three wishes each and every day, all year long. Each wish is the child's most heartfelt wish, and carefully structured to meet the particular needs of the child and their family.
Already this year, we are experiencing unprecedented increases of wish referrals through our strong medical community relationships for our wishes granted to children with life-threatening illnesses. Now more than ever, we are encouraging Canadians to donate and support The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada to help us continue to grant the next most heartfelt wish. Children's Wish is a national charity with chapters in every province and territory. For more information, visit our website at www.childrenswish.ca.
