The Churchill Corporation Announces Executive Appointments
CALGARY, Dec. 6 /CNW/ - The Churchill Corporation (TSX:CUQ) ("Churchill" or the "Corporation"), is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Joette Decore to the position of Vice President Corporate Development and Mr. Jack Jenkins to the position of Vice President Human Resources and Strategic Planning.
Ms. Decore joined Churchill in 2008 and was appointed Vice President Human Resources and Strategic Planning in June 2009. In this position, Ms. Decore played an integral role in the Corporation's recent acquisition of Seacliff and successfully led the team responsible for the integration of Seacliff and Churchill. In her new role, working closely with the Board of Directors and the CEO, Ms. Decore will be responsible for setting and leading the Corporation's strategies for growth, evaluating business development and acquisition opportunities, and executing on all related transactions initiated by the Corporation.
Mr. Jenkins will be responsible for setting the Corporation's human resources strategies, policies and associated programs and leading the planning and the execution of the Corporation's strategic plan. With over 30 years of business experience, Mr. Jenkins possesses a strong background in human resources, strategic planning and business development. Throughout his career, Mr. Jenkins has held senior executive positions for such companies as BHP Billiton and Western Oil Sands Inc., which was acquired by an integrated international energy company for US$6.9 billion in 2007. In his recent executive role at Western Oil Sands Inc., he was responsible for strategic planning and all human resources activities.
Ms. Decore and Mr. Jenkins will report directly to Jim Houck, Churchill's President and CEO.
