The Collection Loto-Québec - Major partner in Papier14 - 35 works displayed in Quartier des spectacles public spaces Français
MONTREAL, April 24, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Collection Loto-Québec is a proud partner of Papier14, the contemporary paper art fair that will be held from April 25 to 27 in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles at the corner of Sainte-Catherine Street West and Clark. A unique event in Québec that showcases works of art on paper exclusively, Papier14 features the work of many artists represented by 44 Montréal, Québec and Canadian galleries.
Loto-Québec holds this particular material in high regard. It is in fact at the very origin of the Collection, which is recognized for the diversity of its 4,700 pieces. To celebrate its 35th anniversary, the Collection is presenting 35 years of Quebec creativity in 35 works of art on paper. Copies of recent acquisitions will be displayed in Quartier des spectacles public spaces. In fact, most of them were originally selected during earlier editions of this contemporary art fair of which Loto-Québec has been a proud partner since 2010. Original works will also be exhibited under the big top and, as is the case every year, a special acquisition panel will be set up during the fair to select new works of art on paper to add to the Collection.
