The College Student Alliance Leadership Scholarship Recipients Announced
TORONTO, Jan. 27, 2014 /CNW/ - Today the College Student Alliance (CSA) announced the recipients of the fourth annual CSA Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes up to 15 outstanding student leaders across Ontario who have demonstrated exceptional work on campus and in their community. The recipients of this scholarship will each receive a certificate, a letter of recognition, and a financial award of $1,000.00 from the CSA.
"I would like to congratulate this year's recipients and am proud to recognize their dedication to their colleges and communities," says Curtis Bell, President of the College Student Alliance. "We look forward to expanding this scholarship for 2014-2015 and to reach more students."
For the 2013-2014 application period, the College Student Alliance received over 75 applications from student leaders at 16 colleges across Ontario. The scholarship will be awarded to college students that demonstrate leadership in their college and community, who show an ability to motivate others and are in good academic standing.
We are pleased to award thirteen $1,000 scholarships to the following students:

Thomas Joseph Puthenmadhom, Humber College
Tyler Neal, Niagara College
Shawn McCauley, Northern College - Haileybury
Kimberley Klyn, St.Clair College - Windsor
Danielle Empey, St. Lawrence College - Brockville
The above recipients will receive their scholarship by mid-March at an awards presentation or equivalent hosted by their Student Association or College, unless otherwise communicated.
The College Student Alliance (CSA) is an advocacy organization, which has been proudly serving Ontario's college students since 1975. The CSA currently represents 15 colleges and 21 student associations with over 135,000 full-time student members throughout the province.
