The College Student Alliance welcomes new majority government and Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities
TORONTO, June 24, 2014 /CNW/ - The College Student Alliance (CSA) would like to congratulate Kathleen Wynne on reclaiming the Premiership of Ontario as she and her cabinet were sworn in this afternoon.
"Students from around Ontario are pleased to welcome Premier Wynne's majority government, and are hopeful that a continued relationship with college students retains focus on post-secondary education," says Matt Stewart, President of the College Student Alliance. "We would also like to extend our welcome to Minister Reza Moridi on his appointment as the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities."
The College Student Alliance values the opportunity to work with Minister Moridi to improve post-secondary education for college students across Ontario.
"We look forward to working with Minister Moridi and his staff in the pursuit of creating a stronger, more accessible college system," says Tyler Epp, Director of Advocacy of the College Student Alliance. "The ability to adapt to change and meet the needs of students has always been a core principle of Ontario's Colleges. We are certain that through our ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, we can maintain that culture."
The College Student Alliance (CSA) is an advocacy organization, which has been proudly serving Ontario's college students since 1975. The CSA currently represents 15 colleges and 21 student associations with over 135,000 full-time student members throughout the province.
