The College Student Alliance Welcomes New Premier and Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities
TORONTO, Feb. 11, 2013 /CNW/ - The College Student Alliance (CSA) would like to congratulate Kathleen Wynne on becoming the 25th Premier of Ontario as she and her cabinet were sworn in this afternoon.
"Ontario's college students welcome the focus on our most vulnerable and underrepresented citizens in Ontario," says Ciara Bryne, President of the College Student Alliance. "We also welcome Minister Brad Duguid - Member of Provincial Parliament for Scarborough Centre - to his portfolio as the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities."
The College Student Alliance values the opportunity to work with Minister Duguid and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to improve the post-secondary education experience for college students across Ontario.
"We welcome the opportunity to meet with Premier Wynne to hear her vision for the future of post-secondary education and the government's plans in meeting the increasing demands of funding, space, technology and a lifelong learning mindset that Premier McGuinty has spoken of so often throughout his time in office," says Tyler Epp Director of Advocacy of the College Student Alliance.
The College Student Alliance (CSA) is an advocacy organization, which has been proudly serving Ontario's college students since 1975. The CSA currently represents 15 colleges and 22 student associations with over 135,000 full-time student members throughout the province.
