MONTREAL, March 18, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Today, the Quebec CPA Order released the names of the 12 chartered professional accountants who received the prestigious title of Fellow (FCPA) this year. The Order also announced the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Achievement Award presented to an FCPA in recognition of his numerous professional achievements, extensive community service, determination and exemplary leadership.
Outstanding Achievement Award
This year, the Outstanding Achievement Award goes to Simon Brault, FCPA, FCGA, Director and CEO of the Canada Council for the Arts. An acclaimed speaker, Mr. Brault has spent many years advocating for culture. In 2005, he was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada for his determination and unwavering dedication in promoting culture across Canada. And in 2011, in honour of his integrity, his visionary spirit and team building talents, he was named an Officer of the Ordre national du Québec. In 2010, he took part in the Agenda 21C initiative launched by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec to engage various community stakeholders seeking to contribute to sustainable development objectives by taking culture into account in their own actions. In short, Mr. Brault was able to bring together two worlds that were once disparate—the arts and business—an alliance that significantly benefits society at large. The CPA Order is very pleased to present him with the 2015 Outstanding Achievement Award.

The Chair of the Order, Alain Dugal, FCPA, FCA, also proudly announced the names of the 12 CPAs inducted into the ranks of Fellow.
