New Retail Location for Ottawa Food Lovers Opened by Area Business

OTTAWA, Aug. 16, 2013 /CNW/ - The Cupcake Lounge Inc. today announced the opening of a new Ottawa retail store in Westboro to better serve area cupcake, dessert and latte aficionados. The new location, which can be found at 324 Richmond Road near the corner of Churchill and Richmond in the heart of Westboro Village provides a more convenient pick-up location for customers living in the west end of the city, and another food option for neighbourhood residents enjoying the benefits of a burgeoning local food scene that now includes an upscale retail bakery.

Excitement on social media reached a crescendo when one Cupcake Lounge Twitter follower, told of the new store opening, tweeted, "Tears of excitment welling up in my eyes..."  Twitter was ablaze with congratulatory tweets welcoming the new retail bakery into the neighbourhood. Arizmendi added, "All of these same products will also be available at the company's first store that opened in the heart of the Byward Market in 2011."

The new Westboro store also bodes well for the Byward Market store because the new location will be handling all telephone and e-mail orders as well as production.  Byward Market employees will now be better able to focus on baking great cupcakes and providing clients with outstanding customer service in a beautiful and relaxed setting in the middle of the exciting hustle and bustle and nightlife of the Byward Market.
