THE DATA GROUP INCOME FUND COMPLETES REDEMPTION OF ITS OUTSTANDING 6.75%

BRAMPTON, ON, Dec. 31 /CNW/ - The DATA Group Income Fund (TSX:DGI.DB) (the "Fund") announced today that it has redeemed all of its outstanding 6.75% extendible convertible unsecured subordinated debentures (the "2006 Debentures").
Each $1,000 principal amount of 2006 Debentures has been redeemed for cash of $1,033.75 (the "Total Redemption Price"), being an amount equal to $1,000 plus accrued and unpaid interest thereon to, but excluding, December 31, 2010, less applicable withholding taxes, if any. The Total Redemption Price will be payable upon presentation and surrender of 2006 Debentures on or after December 31, 2010 at the corporate trust office of Computershare Trust Company of Canada, 8th Floor, South Tower, 100 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario Canada M5J 2Y1.
In accordance with the terms of the trust indenture governing the 2006 Debentures, the Fund has deposited with Computershare Trust Company of Canada the aggregate Total Redemption Price. Interest on the principal amount of the 2006 Debentures will cease to be payable from and after December 31, 2010, unless payment of the Total Redemption Price is not made on presentation for surrender of 2006 Debentures at the above-mentioned corporate trust office of Computershare Trust Company of Canada on or after December 31, 2010.
The aggregate redemption amount for the 2006 Debentures was funded with borrowings under The Data Group Limited Partnership's available credit facilities and cash on hand.
