Transformational leader to help drive DATA's strategic growth
BRAMPTON, ON, June 8, 2012 /CNW/ - DATA Group Inc. (TSX: DGI) ("The DATA Group", "DATA") is proud to announce the appointment of operations executive and transformational leader Kurt MacWilliam as Vice-President, Strategic Services (Eastern Division).
Kurt is a seasoned business executive with 25 years' experience driving successful, major change to support evolving business requirements in Fortune 500 and industry leading companies. He is a champion of process improvement and innovation with the proven competence to deliver significant results in a variety of business situations, especially high-growth and turnaround.
His career includes various senior leadership roles at Procter and Gamble, Alliance Data Systems, and most recently in the medical device manufacturing field. His accomplishments include leading major projects to drive revenue and EBITDA growth, including manufacturing and technology start-ups, major restructurings, and post-acquisition business integration initiatives.
Kurt joins The DATA Group at a time when the company has embarked on a transformational strategic growth plan that emphasizes the development of new document management and marketing related, technology-driven solutions. In 2011, the company made significant progress in the marketing area, creating a dedicated Digital and Direct Marketing Solutions team, launching new digital marketing services and acquiring The Fulfillment Solutions Advantage Inc. ("FSA"), a Markham, Ontario-based direct marketer and its subsidiary, FSA Datalytics Canada Inc. ("Datalytics"), a provider of web-based direct marketing solutions and related data analysis. In 2012, DATA is launching new Document Management solutions such as Document Process Management and Marketing Campaign Management.
"Kurt brings strong intellect, solid people skills and extensive experience in process improvement to DATA," said Steve Wittal, Vice-President Sales and Marketing for DATA East. "As our Vice-President, Strategic Services, Kurt will be supporting our growth plan by improving our new customer implementation process, marketing our expanding services, enhancing sales team support, and ensuring DATA offers an outstanding customer experience. Kurt has been working with us since January on a contract basis. I am very excited that Kurt is now joining us full time and I look forward to his future successes at The DATA Group."
