The Economic Club of Canada and BestLifeRewarded Innovations today launch rewards-based financial literacy health challenge
MONTREAL, Nov. 1, 2017 /CNW/ - BestLifeRewarded Innovations (BLRI) and the Economic Club of Canada (ECC), in collaboration with the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, are pleased to announce the launch of the MoneyFit Challenge, a new and innovative financial literacy initiative. There is a strong connection between financial well-being and overall health. The Challenge is available at no charge, in both English and French, and aims to help Canadians learn more about money matters and take important small steps to improve their own personal financial well-being.
Employers, employees, and students can earn points for engaging in educational materials about budgeting, saving, debt and borrowing. Participants will be able to bid their points for a chance to win over $30,000 in prizes.
"We know financial stress is one of the top stressors among working Canadians and can affect mental wellness. That is why the MoneyFit Challenge is so important. It allows Canadians to improve their knowledge, skills and confidence when managing their money in a fun and interactive way and can help people reduce their stress. FCAC is proud to collaborate in the development of the Money Fit Challenge and we hope that employers and Canadians take advantage of this great tool to improve their financial well-being," says Jane Rooney, Canada's Financial Literacy Leader.
"Basic financial literacy skills continue to be a gap in knowledge among Canadians. The MoneyFit Challenge is designed to engage Canadians to improve their financial well-being in a fun and exciting way. We are proud to be partnering on this important initiative with BestLifeRewarded Innovations and their proven health behaviour change program," said Rhiannon Traill, President and CEO of the Economic Club of Canada and Junior Economic Club of Canada.
