The FCCQ announces the launch of the 33rd edition of the Mercuriades, the most prestigious business awards competition in Quebec Français
MONTREAL, Sept. 17, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (Quebec Federation of Chambers of Commerce) or FCCQ is pleased to present the 2013 Mercuriades, the most coveted annual business awards competition, recognizing the excellence and expertise of Quebec companies.
Big businesses and SMBs alike have until 5:00 pm on December 17, 2012 to submit their nomination in one of the seven following categories:

- Health and Safety in the Workplace

The ultimate recognition: Business of the Year
All winners in their categories will be automatically shortlisted for the most prestigious Mercuriades Award of them all: Business of the Year. The category winners will be announced during the Gala Evening on April 11, 2013 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal under the honorary chairmanship of FTQ CEO, Yvon Bolduc.
"The competition offers companies the chance to take stock of their activities and achievements, and to create new contacts and business opportunities,'' said the chairwoman of the FCCQ board, Marie-Huguette Cormier.
Created and organized by the FCCQ since 1981, the Mercuriades Awards have evolved over the years to reflect the changing issues and challenges of Quebec entrepreneurs. "Quebec's development is largely due to homegrown entrepreneurial talent and vision worthy of our support and encouragement. For over 100 years, the FCCQ has promoted their efforts and for 33 years the Mercuriades have rewarded their achievements," says Bertrand.
