The first edition of the Dolce event from the Young Leaders Circle of The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation: a success!

$30,000 to be donated to The Children's

MONTREAL, March 2, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The first edition of Dolce, organized by the Young Leaders Circle of The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation (MCHF), took place last Saturday, February 25 at Espace Réunion and raised $30,000 for the Foundation. Funds raised will support The Best Care for Children Campaign to build a new Hospital, which will treat tens of thousands of children each year.

An unforgettable evening
This event was the second fundraiser organized by the Young Leaders Circle, a group of twenty young professionals committed to helping The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation. More than 300 young people from various business sectors came out for the occasion, to network for a good cause. "Of course, the main goal is to raise as much as possible for sick kids," asserts Guillermo Saavedra, Co-Chair of the committee launched in fall 2010. "But through the Young Leaders events, we are also hoping to spread awareness among people like us, who want to play a role in helping the kids treated at The Children's."

In a nod to childhood pleasures, guests were treated to pastries, candies and other sweets throughout the Dolce (which means dessert in Italian) event. And the electric atmosphere created by DJ Puppa Sacha had people dancing well into the night. Co-Chair Vicki Braide explains "it's always fun to socialize with the people you're used to seeing in a professional context. And when it's for a good cause, all the better!"
