The Future of Home Lighting Gets Brighter with A New Line of LED Lights from
Philips
New, simple-to-use Philips LED lamps represent largest assortment of replacement lighting solutions available
MARKHAM, ON, Nov. 18 /CNW/ - For the first time, Canadian consumers will now have a wide variety of high-performance LED bulbs to choose from. Philips Electronics, the world's leader in lighting, announced today the availability of the largest assortment of LED lighting products available to North American consumers.
This November, Philips introduces a new line of simple-to-use, dimmable LED replacement lamps in retailers nationwide. With this launch of new LED bulbs, Philips now offers consumers close to a hundred energy-efficient lighting products that are able to meet a wide range of consumers needs.
While traditional incandescent bulbs last an average of 1,000 hours, Philips LED replacement products can last up to 25,000 hours or as much as 25 times longer. This helps consumers save both on energy costs and replacement costs over the life of the LED product.
"Philips recognizes that quality, sustainability and affordability are key factors in encouraging consumers to switch to LED bulbs and we're excited to offer North America's most expansive collection of LED bulbs here in Canada," said Ted Simpson, General Manager, Philips Lighting. "It's a win-win for consumers."
The introduction of energy-saving Philips LED products is helping to usher in a new era in sustainable lighting technology for consumers. From the traditional household shape bulb, to indoor flood -for recessed and track lighting- to decorative candles and vanity globes, Philips' new range of LED bulbs have been designed with the latest and most advanced LED technology available, and support the most popular fixture types in home décor.
Philips' new consumer LED bulbs include:
- Ambient LED MR16: Indoor flood lamps ideal for accent lighting. Available in two wattages, three-watt/equivalent to 20-watts and seven-watt/equivalent to 35-watts and an 80 per cent energy savings over 20-watt and 35-watt halogen versions they replace.
