Frontier College Hosts Important Forum on Literacy & Technology
TORONTO, Oct. 14 /CNW/ - Today four of Canada's workforce and literacy experts will come together to discuss Canada's literacy issue in the context of today's evolving technology. Hosted by CBC's Mark Kelley, presented by Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life, and sponsored by CIBC, Compugen and Microsoft Canada, the Forum features speakers who will share their perspectives on the demand and influence of technology on a literate society.
Featured speakers are Jim Cummins, Canada Research Chair, Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education; Carolyn McGill-Davidson, President & CEO, CNW Group; Gavin Thompson, Director, Corporate Citizenship, Microsoft Canada; and Sherry Campbell, President, Frontier College.
The Forum is a part of Frontier College's annual fundraising luncheon with proceeds supporting national literacy programs for children, youth and adults.
