The Government of Quebec offers its condolences to the Cree Nation of Mistissini and to the entire Cree Nation Français
QUEBEC CITY, April 2, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The Minister responsible for Native Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Kelley, and the MNA for Ungava and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister responsible for Native Affairs, Mr. Jean Boucher, were stunned and distressed to learn of the deaths of five young Cree from the Mistissini community.
On behalf of the Government of Quebec, Mr. Kelley and Mr. Boucher would like to offer their sincere condolences to the families and friends of the deceased, to the Cree Nation of Mistissini and to the entire Cree Nation.
"My thoughts are with the families and friends of these young people. They are going through a very difficult hardship, and they will need time and courage to cope with the shock of this tragic event. They have my deepest sympathy and my full support," stated Minister Kelley.
"I am devastated to learn of the tragic death of five young Cree. All were residents of my riding. I would like to offer my condolences to their families, and to the Cree Nation of Mistissini. I will be thinking of you in the difficult days ahead," declared Mr. Jean Boucher.
