OTTAWA, Dec. 6, 2017 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will undertake an official visit to the City of Québec from December 7 to 8, 2017. During this time, Her Excellency will stay at the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadelle of Québec.
In Québec, Her Excellency will have the opportunity to meet with provincial and local officials including the Lieutenant Governor, the Premier and the Mayor. In addition, the Governor General will recognize remarkable Canadians with awards and honours.

Thursday, December 7
9:30 a.m.
Meeting with the Lieutenant Governor
Upon arrival in Québec, the Governor General will meet with Their Honours Michel Doyon, Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, and Ms. Pauline Théberge.

Presentation of Honours

Official Welcoming Ceremony
Her Excellency will be officially welcomed to the Citadelle of Québec with military honours. She will conduct an inspection of the guard of the Royal 22e Régiment on the parade square, which will be followed by a 21-gun salute.
