Chefs and spokespeople appeal to businesses for help in reaching goal
MONTREAL, April 8, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Moisson Montréal, Moisson Rive-Sud and the Centre de bénévolat et moisson Laval have decided to extend The Great Food Drive for Children campaign until Saturday, April 16, 2016. If the $350,000 goal is not reached by that date, the lives of 18,000 children and their families in the Greater Montreal region will be greatly impacted in the coming year. The 5 ans, 5 chefs auction, scheduled to end today, will also be extended until 11PM on Sunday, April 10.
Appeal to businesses
With just 15% of our goal reached thus far, Chefs Stefano Faita, Danny St-Pierre, Étienne Huot and Jonathan Lapierre are offering their services to businesses that make a donation of $50,000 or more to The Great Food Drive for Children.
"We are ready to create a special menu and prepare lunch for your employees, as long as your business agrees to provide the food and serving staff," explains Danny St-Pierre, Chef and Owner of Petite Maison. "We want big businesses to come together and help the 18,000 children that desperately need food assistance in Montreal! By donating to The Great Food Drive for Children, you are investing in their future and that's the best investment a business can make. We urge you to dig into your social programs and find a donation of $50,000 or more. You'll make a concrete difference in the lives of these children and your employees will enjoy an unforgettable lunch!"
Two of our spokespersons have also increased their commitment by offering to appear with two of the chefs during dinner with the winners. Claudia Marques will accompany Jonathan Lapierre, Chef at Laloux, and Stéphane Demers will be sous-chef to Stefano Faita during the cooking class at École Mezza Luna.
