The Hunt Is on for Canada's Best Young Entrepreneurs
PROFIT Magazine and Impact Entrepreneurship Group call for entries to the 2nd annual FuEL Awards, celebrating Canada's top 20 under 30 entrepreneurs
TORONTO, April 17, 2012 /CNW/ - Who will make the greatest contribution to Canada's economy of tomorrow? The most successful young entrepreneurs of today.
Now entering their second year, FuEL Awards continue to help these young leaders in their mission to build great companies—and build a better Canada in the process.
Starting today, all Canadians can participate in this exciting initiative by nominating a young entrepreneur or voting for their favourite candidates at http://www.fuelawards.ca
Eligible entrepreneurs can apply directly at http://www.fuelawards.ca for one of the 20 FuEL Awards to be given out, plus two additional distinctions: the FuEL People's Choice Award, and the FuEL Entrepreneur of the Year. Entrepreneurs do not need to be nominated by someone else in order to apply. (Eligibility information appears below.)
The nomination/application deadline is June 30, 2012. Voting closes July 31, 2012.
Founded by PROFIT Magazine in partnership with Impact Entrepreneurship Group, the FuEL Awards honour the achievements and aspirations of entrepreneurs under the age of 30, identify role models for progressive business practices and inspire youth to make entrepreneurship their No. 1 career choice.
The FuEL Awards (Future Entrepreneurial Leaders) take a unique and innovative approach by engaging Canadians of all ages and walks of life in determining the winners. The program integrates today's most popular social media tools to attract nominations, applications and votes for the candidates. Votes from the general public will constitute 20% of each candidate's total score, with the remainder determined by a panel of judges from the entrepreneurial community.
Winners of the 2012 FuEL Awards will receive:
Profile on the FuEL Awards website and in an extensive editorial package in PROFIT Magazine
A one-day business consultation with KPMG Enterprise professionals
A chance to be named FuEL Entrepreneur of the Year and receive additional coverage in PROFIT Magazine and passes to the exclusive PROFIT 200 CEO Summit and GrowthCamp conferences
Also, the applicant who attracts the most votes from the public will receive the People's Choice Award and a pass to GrowthCamp
The second annual FuEL Awards are produced by PROFIT Magazine and Impact Entrepreneurship Group with the support of National Sponsor KPMG Enterprise; Associate Sponsor Filemobile; and Strategic Partner CYBF Chairman's Awards for Best Business.
The winners of the 2012 FuEL Awards will be announced on November 12, 2012, and profiled in the December 2012/January 2013 issue of PROFIT.
